I think I have hair buildup?

I just recently got my haircut (I grew it out for about 2 years). It's pretty long, about to almost my chin. Anyway I got it cut and right after it was cut it felt amazing and I could run my fingers through it and what not, my hairstylist used a flat iron on my hair and I loved the results, it looked badass! now I've been doing it my self for about 2 months I use "Sunsilk frizzy cream, Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum, and Biosilk Silk Therapy" in my hair after everyshower, I take a shower every other day or every other 2 days. The thing is I can't run my fingers through my hair as easily as I could 2 months ago and it feels pretty bad compared to what it was 2 months ago :(, do tell me what you guys think because I'm somewhat ignorant when it comes to hair, also I only flat iron my hair for 15-25 minutes every other or every other 2 days... it looks a bit dry too! I would appreciate if someone could suggest what I can do to help my hair, I have naturally wavy/curly hair.

I think I have hair buildup?
If you think you have styling product build up, the easiest home remedy is to mix 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of baking soda with a handful of shampoo. Lather this in your hair, let it stay in your hair 5 - 10 minutes, shampoo %26amp; condition like normal.

You may just be using too many styling products. Or too much. Trying just using the size of a nickel or dime of the frizz cream. This can make your hair feel sticky or dirty, when you use too much. It can also make it hard to run your fingers thru your hair.

Thermal flat irons can really dry out your hair. Try using them on a lower heat setting and try using styling products that are specifically made for use with flat irons to protect your hair from heat damage.

Visit your local Sally Beauty Supply store and the sales associate can show your some styling products made to protect your hair from thermal straighteners like your flat iron.
Reply:I think you are putting too much styling stuff in your hair.

Go get a bottle of baby shampoo and wash your hair several times to get all the junk out. Then only use a light leave in conditioner or light finishing cream. Maybe a shine spray or flat iron spray - but not all of those at once - you'll probably have to experiment a little to find what works for you.

You can go back to your favorite shampoo, but use the baby shampoo every so often to get the hair really clean.
Reply:At first when I read the title I though you may have had a hair ball.

But it sounds like you just need to go to a hairdresser and get your hair thined out with thinning sissors.

It doesn't take long and should solve that problem. Hair thickens up sometimes and needs to be thinned out.
